After the great demand of citizens to allocate housing units and lands in new cities, especially after the third offering of residential housing plots at all levels, as well as the offering of 22,335 housing units for various projects in some new cities, the efforts of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities continue to meet the needs of citizens, as Dr. Assem El-Gazzar announced. On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Public Communities activated the permanent availability system to allocate some housing units to the distinguished housing projects and Misr and Jannah Housing projects. The first stage takes place in some new cities, which are:

 

  • New Mansoura
  • New Rashid
  • Nasser, West Assiut
  • West Qena
  • New Mallawi

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar also explained that the reservation methods for units in the housing projects affiliated with the Urban Communities Authority are done manually by the city’s competent agency directly. 

The city agency responsible for any of the new cities in which the system of immediate reservation and permanent allocation of units has been activated shall prepare the required data in a detailed and clear manner for the units offered (building number - apartment number), and include them in the specifications document.

Any citizen who wishes to obtain a housing unit in the projects available in any of the mentioned cities can go to the relevant city agency directly, submit his application, prepare his data, and attach it to the conditions booklet.

The Vice President of the Urban Communities Authority explained that the reservation of any of the residential units in the distinguished housing and Misr and Jannah housing will be made by paying a reservation amount of:

  • 25,000 Premium housing units
  • 50,000 Sakn Misr units
  • 100,000 Janna units

 

✅ Completion payment of 10% + (1% administrative expenses + 0.5% for the benefit of the Board of Trustees) of the total unit price.

✅ This is done within two months from the date of notification of allocation.

✅ A 5% maintenance deposit is paid upon contracting and before receipt.

✅ The rest of the unit price is paid in equal quarterly installments (3-5-7-10) bearing interest.

✅ The first installment begins 3 months after the date of receipt of the unit.

 

The system of subtraction and allocation of units by the device

 

  1. An announcement will be made by the city’s competent agency about the availability of housing units for immediate reservation
  2. Place the advertisement on the bulletin board at the Citizen Service Center and on the official page of the city agency
  3. A technical secretariat will be formed for the main committee of the city apparatus
  4. Requests from those wishing to allocate residential units are received, and the reservation form includes the full data of the unit to be allocated.
  5. The person wishing to obtain the housing unit receives a letter addressed to the Housing and Development Bank to pay the serious amount of the reservation.
  6. The applicant submits the documents required for allocation, as well as a receipt for payment of the seriousness of the reservation

 

The priority is to populate the entire building before moving to another building

 

In the event that more than one application is submitted for the same residential unit, a public lottery will be conducted and its recommendations will be submitted to the main committee to review the allocation procedures and notify the city agency of the allocation decision to complete the procedures and communicate with the applicant to complete the reservation advance within two months from the date of notification of approval according to the financial transaction.
